Pros

Office culture is young and laid back. Dress standards are relaxed, almost unprofessional, but since there are no client relations that is fine. Occasional parties subsidized by the company provide a needed safety-valve and are relaxing occasions. Pay: overtime work is common and pays well. The company does not try and cheat its employees. It is very honest, although employees should keep a daily log report to prove that they are in.

Cons

Personal growth: there is none. Unless you are willing to put in 60 hours a week or more, you will be fired within 2-3 months. If you are willing to put in 60 hours a week or more, you can still be replaced. I was in the company for 9 months. In that time 1/3 to half the office staff had been changed. Work-life balance: employees are strongly pressured to work overtime. Those who are not willing to work 6 days a week are quickly replaced by those who are. Company values: the massive layoffs show that the company does not care about its individual people. Its treatment of people are ridiculous bad, examples ranging from the temps who are let go within a month to the temp-to-hires who are kept as temps for nearly a year to the new paralegals who are let go when the busy cap season is ended.

Pros

Opportunity to get experience working on different visa types, and learning to work in fast work environment

Cons

Horrible management that is not held accountable, they are not open to any changes or feedback but pretend they are, case workers are overworked and very underpaid, zero room for advancement, they are not loyal to hardworking employees, they would prefer to higher unexperienced people to pay them less. Save yourself the time, stress, unappreciative, fake corporate work culture here. They will easily replace you and not even thank you for your time. Years of hard work means nothing to them, you will likely never be compensated for the intense amount of workload you will have. So many caseworkers leave because of this. Not worth wasting your time here

Pros

- A lot of good people - Not bad first job in early 20s

Cons

- If you are looking for respect and mentorship, I would not recommend this office. - There is no work-life balance, expect your work to never be enough and to be treated like a towel that they will wring dry until the threads snap. - Describing management as disfunctional, uncoordinated, self serving, and apathetic to their staff is a bit too generous as it leaves so much on the table left unsaid. - Look forward to bribes of alcohol and pizza for all the burn out you will be experiencing along with a 2% - 4% annual salary raise of an underpaid job to begin with. - Benefits are only worth it if you stay for over 3 years and that's if they don't suspend benefits. They suspended benefits last year and is still ongoing. - HR is abysmal. That's all I'll say.
