Pros

ESOP, 3 weeks PTO, Large company, steady income, decent benefits, clean facilities, interesting industry, nice blue shirts, a few good co-workers.

Cons

Nepotism runs rampant. Little opportunity for advancement unless you can relocate. Top Heavy, Micromanaged. Insulting raises and pitiful Christmas Bonus. Excessive workload. Managers are inexperienced and force you into tasks that they themselves aren't willing / qualified to do.

Could be a really fun place to work but...

Pros

Great holidays off (loved Thanksgiving/Christmas time because this was the only time that people seems to like one another), 401K, PTO and to work from home options. Mr. Freeman is an incredibly a nice person. There is truth, if you treat your employees well, that will take care of you, and be happy.

Cons

No confidential relationship between Managers/Employee. Trust broken. Gossip and backstabbing. Management sucks; Manager tells everyone business; caused a lot of conflict among employees. Threatening to go to HR always resulted in a firing. HR wants to terminate without all the facts. No promotions or advancement unless you're in the "same circle", so no room for growth or opportunity as they tell you upon hire. Or unless you're so-in-so's family member. Again, toxic managers all around. I used to really enjoy working for Freeman; all of this changed within the past 4 years. A lot of people have lost a lot of trust; can't trust managers, VPs are rude, as well.

What A Joke

Pros

Nothing positive to say at all.

Cons

The Chicago office is such a joke. Do the board know that no one is ever in the office and the only people who work are the ones actually being let go? We had some great people here and one by one they were being cut due to "company changes" so the company doesn't look after its people that WORK HARD. The leadership team-----Thats funny. What leadership team? You mean the women that walk into the office and have meetings for 5 minutes and then walk out. They complain the do-ers are not working well with a team but they cant manage a team?
