      Pros

      This company has grown so much since I first began working here. It is nice to be apart of something that promotes HEALTHY Pets! ( I am obviously a pet owner ) There are so many companies out there that have the wrong core values from the bottom up and Freshpet is NOT one of them. The CEO Richard Thompson is extremely in tune with his employees and also their development here within the company. He has done more for us than I have personally encountered anywhere else that I have ever worked. Besides the amazing health plan they offer they also have a kitchen that is completely free, and has a lot to offer for snacks and lunches. I just think that work is work no matter what, however you need to be happy and strive towards positive growth and here at Freshpet they support that! Love my job!

      Besides the early rise to work that sometimes is HARD to do - it is a great place to work!

      Better but Still Room To Improve

      Pros

      Rapidly growing company that is making a name for itself in pet food industry. Great products. Would not feed my pet anything but. Positive work environment with friendly employees who make the job enjoyable and drive you to come back each day. Decent incentive programs and benefits packages.

      Cons

      No where but the same. It seems longer you are here the farther in you become and the less chance you have to advance. Most hourly personal are in stagnant positions with no room to grow or improve and day to days becomes repetitive and monotonous. Separation of company. Brand new state of the art facility with great improvement but still missing pieces of the entire company. Company HQ in NJ with who don't see much or any plant operations and are promoting products that they are not close to. Overtop leadership. Some management takes it upon themselves to make changes on the whim based on their personal beliefs without informing anyone. These changes sometimes cause difficulties in production and then are not responsible when their change makes a mistake.

      Pros

      A great place to work where I feel valued! Great benefits to being a team member. It seems the company is doing a lot to create a good environment for everyone. The new facility is super nice and we have FREE food to eat!

      Cons

      Employees will complain to complain.
