Pros

You can make good money, meet new people, and work without your DSL hanging over your back. It’s hard work but it’s not coal mining or anything back breaking. Paid weekly with good benefits.

Cons

Hours can be long at times which will affect work life balance.

Pros

Easy to work way up company provided you are open to new ideas or areas to learn, big point they push is be open so you can get up to your job that you want within 2-3 years. They want you to get experience all over the place at first. Bonus every year based on performance, tons of benefits include discounts with national programs and terrific healthcare options.

Cons

First few jobs may not be what you want and you may hate working at your location, but as long as you communicate and make very clear you do not like it they can usually work with you. Typically in a role for around 6 months. Hours can be long too depending on role- work life balance depends heavily on role at the time. You will most likely always start out on 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Pros

Free chips sometimes if its past the sale by date at the Miami DC

Cons

Work over 5 years at Frito Lay in Miami & Portland Or locatins as a warehouse worker and backfill lead person which I did for many years. I was awarded MVP for the 1 year I worked at the PDX location then I moved bk to Miami for family reasons. Evenings and nights are extremely long and unknown as the when your shift would end. With little to no work life balance. Very uneven work load and same pay rate for you and your peers no matter if you're pulling their half of the job. Little to no advancement opportunities here. I was never written up in over 5 years! I showed up to work every day because I had a relationship with peers not wanting to prolong their work they, due to the fact no one else could help if the team received a call out. I set the standard for the utilization they implemented while employed here. My last few months there, I applied for a leadership role with this company yet the manager bypassed me because I'm well outspoken and didn't speak Spanish and I was employed with this company much longer than the 2 award the position. So I went on my vacation and resigned during my vacation with over 2 weeks remaining. Years later in 2018 I try to apply for a position and it says I'm not allowed to be rehired even though the manager who submitted my request to resign was terminated a few months after. Unfair practices PepsiCo, and no loyalty for dedicated workers.
