Well run company, great 401K , good team atmosphere amongst senior union employees

Cons

Union contracts have been geered towards cost cutting wages which created poor employment choices. 60 - 70 hr work weeks

Pros

They pay competitively and the benefits are fair. 401k is so so.

Cons

Zero work life balance. They won’t outright say it when they hire you but salaried employees are forced into weekend work until you’re promoted up several times, which may take years. Dont count on spending holidays with your family, because the plants run through every holiday they possibly can. If you want to start a family as a female, middle management at Frito is not the place to do it. Your job takes too much time and energy. Your opinion is not important until you’ve “put in your time”, even if you are the person directly involved in a process. Upper management doesn’t listen to middle management, which makes it extremely difficult to represent the best interests of your team. There are amazing training opportunities, but upper management never seems to find the money to send you to learn your job. It’s advertised that “you can do anything with your career path” but you really have little to no say in the shift you work or the job you do for the first 3-5 years. I could go on, but the reader’s digest version is DONT WORK HERE.

Pros

Fast paced and kind of like your own boss.

Cons

Pay structure is horrible. Its Based on prior year sales and unrealistic sales goals to hit "bonus".
