Excellent experience gained, horrible work-life balance
Pros
Having a frito-lay job is excellent for your resume, I can guarantee you will be head-hunted by recruiters if you keep your LinkedIn up to date. Lots of good peers to work with and reasonably high salary if you’re recruited from university! There are excellent ERG’s you can get involved with, which I highly recommend for networking and your career.
Cons
The business is held together by managers working 70 hour weeks. You will find it incredibly difficult to do your job when you’re working 2-3 times a week on a route when your employee calls out sick. Work-life balance is nonexistent. You will be woken up nightly and you’re going to learn to hate the sound of your phone buzzing. Leadership is very tone deaf to these problems, the best thing you can do for your career is suck it up and don’t be perceived as having a negative attitude.
