Frito-Lay reviews

I have never disliked a company more than I did with Frito Lay. The hours are terrible, you are working 10 days straight at times without a day off in between and you don't get overtime because they have figured out that loophole. They wrote me a letter after I was finished working there and told me they overpaid me so I had to write them a check even though it was their mistake (Which happened often). Yes the retirement benefits are good but if you don't stay long enough, you won't be able to keep your full earnings. They nickel and dime their employees and treat them poorly. Turnover is VERY HIGH at Frito. The trucks they have people driving are terrible. Not well-maintained and they are driven until they cannot be driven anymore. Vacation is VERY DIFFICULT to take. You get 2 weeks and don't get a 3rd week until you're there for 5 years. Honestly, not worth it. I would not recommend Frito Lay to anyone.

FYI, I quit for a reason. Chaotic environment. Never an easy day at Frito-Lay. They give their PMO's more work than is acceptable and safe. 80% of the time the job is a struggle. The equipment isn't maintained properly. It's just ran into the ground. I would have a problem with a piece of equipment, report it and would be told to run it till it breaks. The biggest problem, they don't care about you as a person. You are just a piece of equipment to them. If you are thinking of working for this Company. Don't! Do not sign your life over to them because they will consume it. They will run your health and well-being into the ground, and they won't care doing it.
