Pros

- good pay - lower management seems to understand software - good development environment (build system works, db scripts work most of the time, etc) - if your not working the software department you can expect reasonable work hours - get yummy donuts once in a while - all the free coffee and tea you can drink - funny office space type culture

Cons

- extremely high pressure for the software department - engineers routinely put in 70+ hours a week, working on weekends - death march mentality - unrealistic deadlines - management plays favorites - engineers look unhappy at daily meetings

Pros

They have purchased some good companies such as Centennial and Enteo and will probably want to purchase some more. This opens the space in quite a few markets, which they have not yet leveraged upon.

Cons

Incompetent Management No Strategy is just breaking apart, all good people leaving the company working short hours Employees not honored for what they do 10% deduction in pay for all employees for 2009 and to come Michael McCloskey is the only person who makes any decision - so why have a Management Team The only reason people want to stay is that they hope, that some of their Stockoptions will compensate them for the big BS going on within the company Customers need to be carefull, since 1. they are not important once the sales has been made and 2. that if they go with FrontRange, the future is very uncertain!!
