Pros

It's a fairly low pressure environment.

Cons

Poor management. They don't hire the best people for management positions, which hurts everyone below them. Frost pretends to place a high importance on its values but when push comes to shove, they're just in it for the money.

Pros

6% 401k match, profit sharing with extra for money for those over 40. One Frost facility is nice. Recently salaried employees started get 3 weeks vacation starting 1st year.

Cons

Cheap salary. Bonuses are almost non-existent. Expensive benefits (more so every year). Can't get promoted or a decent raise if you're a software developer. Software engineers are just 'code monkeys' at Frost. Managers/Supervisors are incompetent, clueless and political.

Personal Banker II

Pros

Co-workers are great people and the branches are very nice

Cons

HR consist of only a few people so if one of them doesn’t like you then good luck moving up. The bank does not look at their high achieving personal bankers for any commercial lending positions at all. The universal banker idea does not work in busy branches because many bankers are busy doing teller work more than anything else. Considering everything the bankers do they only give a max 3% raise but most only get 2%. If you are a highly successful banker you can expect the same raise as someone who never meets their goals. They do not care about performance. You can open up 70 accounts for the month and only get a $100 incentive before taxes.
