Pros
Company has a vision that it follows rigorously. Of keeping not just the customers and shareholders happy, but also the employees. I have been here since the 'early days' and G-P is focusing very hard on keeping the productive and collaborative culture alive despite the impressive growth. There are teams that manage the onboarding of new internal employees, and we often hear that it is the best new start experience people have when joining our team. Throughout your day you can also always Slack people of all teams and seniority for advice, the company holds All Hands calls, and department calls, even road shows in person. Despite all the perks of working fully remote, you actually get to experience a good level of involvement in relevant matters, something I had not expected and was my initial concern when taking on a remote job. The company also has career path for various role types, and if you are a specialist or a senior person (like myself), they find challenges to drive you to expand your experiences. I myself changed departments to further boots my understanding of the various areas and processes, and was granted a promotion as part of it. I can hardly imagine going back to one of my previous job, where the silo thinking, commute and pressure made me doubt my career choices. In my 4 years at G-P I have only once ever doubted if I can do this, and my bosses boss picked up on this vibe, called me on a Sunday and walked through my concerns and talked me through what I (and they) can do better. Can highly recommend.
Cons
You do end up pushing yourself to keep up with the pace, it is a demanding workload and can lead to stress. But in my view that is manageable if you enjoy the work and the people you work with.
