      Pros

      I worked at GE Aviation as an Engineering intern. For the most part, I didn't use my engineering skills to the fullest but again I was only an intern. They seem to offer good benifits to salary workers and everyone I worked with that was full-time enjoyed their job.

      Cons

      The location I worked at was in a small town atmosphere. I would rather work in a bigger city or surburb.

      Good name to place on resume Good pay with a housing allowance Large co-op program, can network with other co-ops

      Cons

      Spend most of time waiting on other people in other groups Spend most of time compiling information from other groups, everyone is very specialized so hard to necessarily learn about a variety of topics All of the actual analysis work goes overseas, spend a lot of time telling global teams what to do and making sure they are doing it

      Pros

      Very technical work, opportunity to work on everything from development engines to current production engines, co-workers and most immediate (subsection) managers are great to work with

      Cons

      Pay is way below average for the amount of work expected, Medical benefits have been greatly reduced, senior management shows minimal appreciation for achievements that people make on a daily basis
