      No such thing as work life balance

      Pros

      I have a job, that's about all I can say about this place. I still have a job after all these years and I'm happy about that.

      Cons

      Pay is average. There is no such thing as work life balance. If you hate your family and don't want friends then this is a great place.

      Pros

      It is a typical large company but it stacks up OK against other large companies. Good place to be if you want to change your role every few years.

      Cons

      Lack of vision of anything more than 6 months out. They say otherwise but what really flows down is all short term stuff. No appreciation of technical experts.

      Pros

      GE has decent benefits; the compensation is fair. On site cafeteria serves a good variety of food, although the prices are not as competitive as they should be.

      Cons

      Management has failed to align operations to long term strategic direction. Employees are stretched to the breaking point and this is exacerbated by the lack of flexible work arrangements.
