The starting pay and benefits were good and Lafayette, IN is a cool college town.

Cons

The teaming environment wasn't what it was hyped to be. I had higher expectations of the process and team members. They treat new hires horribly and set you up for failure. They ask for ideas then use them in order to be promoted, they make mistakes then blame new hires. No accountability. Some teams have better team members but they all seemed like a nightmare.

Able to work independently. Hands on in nearly all decisions of facility. Flat organization = fair to all (no seniority preference). Able to learn as much as you want about any area of the business. LOTS of room for growth in this position OR to any other position within GE. LOTS of opportunity to be trained in many facets of the industry. FANTASTIC benefits (best I've seen outside the military) such as amazing health, vision, and dental insurance, tuition reimbursement to go back to school, 401K match up to 4% PLUS an additional 3% given by GE, 2 weeks paid vacation per year, 1 month paid sick time per year, approx. 13 paid holidays per year, 1 week paid personal business time per year, MANY other ancillary benefits such as discounts on endless products from hotels to ipads, help with daycare costs, and much more. Full flexible schedule. Team environment. Plenty of overtime. Great pay. Very accessible advancement.

None. There really are no downsides.

decent place to work "if" you pass your 90 day probation. they fire people on the last day of probation all the time.

Cons

Don't work here for 26 hr if you can get 20-21 hr at your job now stay there ! do not move from out of state to get this job!!! its a cliquish mentality where other people you work with decide if you have a job or not. this is not a diverse site!
