Micromanaged and depressing

Pros

Great benefits- vacation time, sick time, floating holidays, profit sharing, company car

Cons

Excellent vacation time but never allowed to take it when you want. Every detail of your day is micromanaged. Management sucks the life out of you. You are expected to drop everything you are doing, even if you have a customer scheduled appointment, when management tells you to go do something. But yet we are supposed to put customers first. Last minute meetings and are told to tell our customers to reschedule when sometimes that is the only time our customer can meet. We are expected to completed 12hrs worth of work in a 8.5hr work day which we only get paid for 7.75hrs but yet we have to eat lunch while driving and always answer our phones. So you work the full 8.5hrs and they cut your pay. You end up having to work before or after hours to catch up with the administrative work the company makes you do. The goals are unrealistic. You end up on auto-pilot just counting down the minutes until you are off and the days until the weekend hits.

Pros

It really just depends on how your direct hierarchy of mgmt does their job. Benefits are fantastic, salary is competitive, and company is usually on the leading edge of claims handling.

Cons

Again, directly related to how your direct mgmt team handles their adjusters. If you handle a rural area that has a high population of policy holders who are older and/or aren’t tech savvy- the job becomes doubly hard and you get no compensation for a portion of the things you have to do.

Pros

Benefits are great and nothing else.

Cons

Horribly micromanaged. What have you done for me today? Management does not care. You are responsible for everything and everyone including other companies and items 100% outside of your control.
