Pros

Good exposure to the logistics industry

Cons

Spent over 11 years at GEODIS, most recently as Ocean Freight Manager (Procurement). Long enough to understand the system and its gaps. Over time, the lack of proper processes became increasingly evident. Decisions often feel inconsistent, with outcomes that don’t always align with performance or contribution. This creates an environment where clarity is limited and expectations shift depending on the situation. There is also a noticeable imbalance in how opportunities and recognition are distributed, raising concerns around fairness and transparency. More concerning is the standard of professionalism within certain leadership levels. Communication does not always reflect the level of discretion and integrity expected, with behaviors that at times resemble informal discussions rather than constructive, professional engagement. This can erode trust and set the wrong tone for the wider team. HR, unfortunately, does not function as a strong support system. Concerns raised are not always addressed in a meaningful or timely manner, leaving employees to navigate challenges largely on their own.

Pros

You will meet some of the best people here and can learn the basics of being a freight broker if this is the career path you choose.

Cons

eadership is deeply ineffective and lacks even a basic understanding of how to run a successful business. There is a clear disconnect between management and the sales team, with decisions being made in a vacuum that ignore real operational and customer-facing challenges. While leadership claims to prioritize operations, execution is consistently poor and performance continues to decline. There is also a noticeable lack of accountability and consistency across the organization. Processes are not enforced equally, and favoritism impacts outcomes—particularly when it comes to freight handling. If you are not running TM freight, your shipments are treated as a lower priority and handled with significantly less care, which ultimately reflects poorly on both employees and the company as a whole. Overall, the environment is disorganized, leadership is out of touch, and there is little confidence that meaningful improvements will be made
