      Pros

      Great people (although they've steadily been leaving over the last year or 18 months). Good systems, great training and support for young staff in particular. Great variety of work and plenty of opportunities to travel and switch roles (again, particularly if you're young). Good Christmas parties! Good policies around flexible working hours (although the hours are long), good policies around extra leave. Great return on equity if the senior management like you enough to make you a shareholder.

      Cons

      I left for a change of scenery because I didn't like the change in culture and direction of management decisions. No reward (pay/bonus) for working to a very high standard, additional hours, etc. Impossible to get a pay rise in the last five years unless you had another higher offer. Good policies around equality that do not translate into real action in terms of pay equality and promotion of female staff. Difficult to get anywhere unless you're a favourite of the senior management (i.e. drinking buddy). Management focus on utilisation above all else, resulting in poor decisions around redundancies. Difficult to make shareholder unless you do some serious sucking up.

      Great people, shaky management culture.

      Pros

      They have a great hiring policy which, for most cases mean they hire great people. Sometimes the skill of hires is questionable, but 9/10 times they are good, approachable people that are a good fit for the team. To add context I enjoyed working there and left simply for a change.

      Cons

      The pay is average at best, and further to this after working there for over 5 years, I only ever got 1 pay rise for which I didn't have to fight for, regardless of position promotions. As of July 2014 management seemed to be shifting the culture towards less concern for employees, which used to be one of the greatest qualities of GHD.
