Pros

My boss is fair, concerned and a great listener. She provides just enough directoin to allow me to do my job and succeed. The people are wonderful to work with. It really is like a big family.

Cons

Some departments play a bit of favoritism that is quite obvious and disturbing to associates. Leaders of the company could do a better job at being more fair and not letting favorites be the only ones to advance,

The people make Gables Residential an awesome place to work. Everyone helps each other and honestly cares how individuals are doing.

Cons

There are a lot of tenure employees at the company which makes it hard for promotions of the newer staff. There is a lot of competition.

Pros

The company has a great culture. They really care about their employees and spend time and money recognizing great performance. They have great training, benefits, and you get a 6 week sabbatical after working there for 10 years. Management really appreciates your opinion and is constantly striving to make it a great place to work and live.

Cons

Some of the residents take the company mission of "Taking Care of the Way People Live" to heart and hold it over your head when they don't get their way.
