Pros

Due to offices being low staffed, i have never worried about losing my job. Thus the reason why i had been with the company for so long. It's reliable because they can't afford to lose people.

Cons

Low staffed. Getting time off, even a weekend is next to impossible. Incredibly low pay for being the face of the company and being the reason they make occupancy and revenue. They hardly make inside promotions. No work life balance. If your low staffed, expect to feel bad about taking a full hour lunch or being able to have one at all.

Pros

- Small company feel, working closely with other offices. - Overall consistency in following policies and procedures, so you can work at other offices with relative ease. - If you get along with your team, work is usually very enjoyable. - Benefits are overall above average.

Cons

- Almost all properties are understaffed. - Pay is very low compared to other companies. - Maintenance is expected to complete their responsibilities with extremely low budgets. - Upper management's focus seemed to shift from customer service to MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. As an ACM, I was basically expected to come up with creative ways to charge the residents more money in fees. - Some CMs and RMs are MICROMANAGERS. Your workload really depends on your supervisor's work style. - Managers have very little supervision and often take advantage. Managers will often leave hours early or come in hours late. You are forced to lie to residents about your manager's whereabouts. One manager required a Leasing Professional to come help her property because they were understaffed, then the manager left to get a mani/pedi. Obvious lack of respect for others' time and workload. - RMs will almost always take the side of the manager's when dealing with conflicts among staff. - Some RMs show extreme favoritism. Suck up to your boss, and you will continue to advance.
