Pros

The culture at Gallagher is one of the best in the country, which is one of the reasons we merged our organization with them. The opportunities to grow and become better at what we do are available to everyone. There is also great flexibility in work-life balance. Management is supportive and provides coaching and mentoring.

Cons

As an extension of a larger office on the other side of the state, sometimes it feels like we're left out of things. Though that's only due to geographical distances.

We’re happy that you are finding your experience with Gallagher to be a positive one. When Gallagher acquires a business, we want to tailor the merger to the individual business and work to meet shared goals and objectives. Gallagher also strives to help build upon the work of every acquisition in order to add to their success. Thank you for your feedback. We know that communication and inclusiveness are key. As the Gallagher Way states, “No department or person is an island” and “We are a warm, close Company. This is a strength – not a weakness.”

Pros

Your starting salary will likely be competitive

Cons

Be VERY carful assessing these reviews. I was employed with this company for over 5 years and know a great many employees in one of their top branches and have had occasion to work and consult with others across the country. I can state with certainty that their is almost a universal feeling amongst the claims staff that the workload is beyond difficult; it is impossible. The benefits are exceptionally poor and raises are close to non-existent. Not so true for executives and upper management. People have fled seemingly rosy looking positions sometimes within weeks and even within a day. The positive 5 star reviews do not square with the reality of the company. Given the strong disparity as to what I experienced, I strongly believe these reviews have been salted to try and counteract the very consistent messages that there is no work life balance to be had and this company will run you into the ground all the while suggesting its your fault for failing to keep up and meet the ever changing goalposts. If you join and quit please return to this site and warn others as I've done.

Pros

Great if you are a white Christian male who can BS his way through things Good if you don't make a fuss and are okay with being being treated unequal Fine if you are okay with HR not documenting meeting and protecting harassment I hear the new cafe is nice

Cons

I overheard actual conversations about not promoting a woman one time that would have required a relocation or giving a different woman an assignment that required travel because they had "family" - the men they selected had "family" too. HR doesn't keep records of serious complaints They assume everyone who is of Indian decent is in IT and actually lives in India Executive management either doesn't know about managers with multiple HR complaints, or just doesn't care.
