Pros

They know that the work which is being done, is not stimulating or "fun"... and they try to combat this by being the cool and hip place to work... they are great about giving time off, and they try to organize fun events and encourage people to form friendships.

Cons

The work is really boring. There are so many other survey companies in the business now, that Gallup's main goal is now market research and business consulting.

Pros

very high salary for "stars" flexible hours

Cons

The so-called research behind the books is dubious at best, the so-called authors are really sales savvy actors/motivational speakers pitching a schedule of consulting services. Books are largely ghost written. Company sells a different and profitable message--treating people well is good for business--but doesn't really believe it or act it. The private company's internal employee stock ownership plan appears to be a blatant ponzie scheme in need of an investigation....mostly enriches CEO Jim Clifton and his very small inner circle. Clifton cares little about anything but his own personal wealth. A sad and slow demise will come to this once venerable firm dedicated to honest polling. George Gallup sold his company to the Clifton family and he is now rolling over in his grave. Avoid this dishonest cult.
