Love my co-workers but HATE the job.

Pros

Love the discount and the fact that time in and out of the office is fairly flexible (within reason). Love working with teams.

Cons

Some managers don't know what they are doing (luckily I have a great one) Our planning system we adopted just doesn't work for our needs (management won't admit it) They play favorites Work life balance has decreased dramatically since we intergrated planning and distribution Everyone seems to be unhappy with their jobs.

Pros

The Gap stores I have worked at consistently have management that is willing to work with you and your schedule (I am a student, so that is key for me). Other associates are friendly and typically, everyone gets along. Working for Gap has been a job that I have kept longer than others specifically because of the positive work environment and the fact that when they hire employees, they treat them well and employees stick around, which is not common in retail. I also know that benefits are offered to employees, which is pretty great, but I do not have the need to take part.

Cons

Management at my store has changed fairly often since I began working there, but they have now brought back a former manager who has done the best job, so it has all worked out in the end.
