Pros

The Gap provides an excellent discount on their clothing to their employees. Most of the employees are young and pleasant to work with. Your employee discount can be used at any of the Gap brand stores which includes: Banana Republic and Old Navy.

Cons

Retail is often challenging because you have to work with the general public. Gap is not the best company to work for if you hope to move up the corporate ladder from the bottom. Most positions are part time and during the slow seasons a typical schedule will provide an employee with as little as 8 hours a week.

Pros

Good vacation/PTO policy; smart people; innovative systems; community service

Cons

Pay, business slump, hierarchical, political, don't stick to a strategy long enough to judge its true success, frequent change in senior leadership
