Pros

discount across gap brands. 4 weeks paid time off to start. 100% 401k match. 100% tuition reimbursement for FT employees and managers.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations. Company constantly cuts payroll issued to the store. Three CEO changes in 1 1/2 years. Full realignment of all management positions to cut payroll and makeup for $10 hour promise. 4 market leaders in one year in NJ. NY upperfield leaders are out of touch, They push store GM's to focus on tasks and Jive and Instagram instead of the customer. Too much micro management

Pros

The people that work there are some of the best people there (the ones actually doing the work/behind the scenes).

Cons

They really love the sorority environment that's been cultivated there and pretty much don't let people into their club without a sister's approval. If you want to climb to the top you pretty much have had to graduate from their RMP program or have made a lot of friends at the top. Behind the scenes a lot of blame game and placing targets on certain people's back that they don't want there. They pay their imports and production team at such low rates and working long days and nights that really just lead you to being in the same position for 5 years.

Pros

My coworkers are all supportive and driven. It is inspiring working next tot hem day after day. The management staff is always positive and encouraging. It really feels like a family working with everyone at my Gap store.

Cons

the hours you are scheduled for depend on how much your store makes day to day. The company often cuts hours leaving employees to do double the work. If you like working hard and being busy this may work out as a plus. Otherwise you might quickly get frustrated with customers that don't care that the store is understaffed during your shift.
