Pros

Good Culture. Good people. Management cares about their employees; you are more than just a number. They care about keeping you interested in the work you do and you can move around the company. Really good health care. Best 401k of any company ( 7.5% match up to 10% plus 5% pension; so you get 12.5% match for 10%). Excellent work/life balance. Managers and promotions are almost all in-house for engineering.

Cons

Pay is slightly below average.

Pros

Laid back culture, no uniforms, no one constantly looking over your shoulder - just make sure to get your work done, performance based salary, good benefits package (insurance, vacation, 401k, etc.), team I work with cares about doing a great job, most people are great to work with

Cons

Salary seems to be lower compared to other software companies, recreation area/room is small, no in house medical clinic

Pros

Good health benefits, fun people to work with, ESPP program and 401k are amazing.

Cons

Location is terrible for new employees in terms of within the city. It would be great if HQ had a "satellite" office downtown KC rather than in the suburbs where there is nothing to do other than watch Saturday Soccer games at the High Schools. Kansas City is actually a really fun town but Garmin's location within the city is really dragging down the talent retention.
