In early years, career growth opportunity was exceptional.

Cons

Since disclosure of plan to go public, Gates has been short term focused, with no real long term strategies. All about current EBITDA with no thought about many great employees who are responsible for making the 20% EBITDA possible.

An internationally known company with a stellar reputation for performance, quality, innovation across multiple fields of use! Worlds best known motorcycle, worlds fastest drag cars, wind energy, deep sea oil wells, high performance mountain bikes, US Army proven, and this is only a small amount of what we offer!

Cons

As any manufacturing jobs in the US, they are all subject to relocation due to upper management padding their pockets after lining them well! Benefits are also less than average along with salary shrinking for everyday Joe's.

Pros

Still competitive pay for some jobs. Still a mild sense of pride in company, most of it diminished when tompkins took a bigger role in the executive management.

Cons

Across the board worst executive management team to ever take the reigns of this 100 year old company. The entire Power Transmission division has been stripped bare to cut costs and maintain profits. All divisions have had work force reduced to only a skeleton crew, quality is not even in the equation anymore. Employee moral low with no job security and constant cost saving initiatives.
