Pros

Geisinger is one of the leading Regional Health Systems in the Nation. As an integrated delivery system in a rural community, Geisinger Providers, Researchers, and Insurers have a unique insight into a stable population spanning generations.

Cons

As a rural employer, Geisinger has a lock on many of the communities it serves. Geisinger is the largest employer in several of its locations. Because the system is Provider driven, the pace of change is slow and methodical throughout the Geisinger ecosystem.

Pros

At this point in time, I really can't say there are any. You'd be better off working for Highmark Blue Cross.

Cons

No career opportunities, the company is going down hill quick. They recently laid off a bunch of good people and now lots of people are resigning. That means more work for the ones that are left.
