      Pros

      Geneca has been good to me since day one. I'm very happy with my salary and the way upper management has treated me. I rarely work over 40 hours a week, which is a big improvement from my last company. I've been with Geneca around two years now and they've exceeded my expectations and then some. The people I work with our smart and dedicated to technology, but also cool people, who "get it". I honestly can't see myself being happier somewhere else.

      Cons

      You have to be up for meeting the challenge. Our work is in no way easy. Geneca's projects are complex and challenging. If you don't feel extremely confident in your development skills than this probably is not the place for you to hang your hat. I see interviews walk in and out of Geneca all day long, very few get the job.

      Pros

      Geneca really is a special place to work! I have worked at other companies prior to Geneca and I am lucky to be here. At Geneca, your job is more then just a job, you get to choose your own adventure. You are given the support to learn, grow and advance your career. The leadership also works hard on the culture and makes sure all employees feel valued. My co-workers at Geneca really are like family.

      Cons

      Having remote employees can be a challenge. However, Geneca recognizes this and put a lot of effort into making those who work at client sites not feel alone and separate.

      It was once a special place, maybe it can be again

      Pros

      The people are all great and care about you and your growth. Your hard work and skills matter. Your value is typically noticed and rewarded. Relaxed and productive environment.

      Cons

      They seem to have fallen into the trap of changing for the sake of change when projects aren't being booked. Many philosophy, structure, staffing, and focus changes within a short time period recently; leading to confusion and uneasiness. A majority of business comes from one client, making them overly dependent on them, and causing them to make questionable decisions. Decisions which may temporarily benefit the bottom line, but ultimately make it less of a special place to work for, or to work with, than it used to be.
