      Highly skilled engineers, designers and trades; very thorough because of demanding nature of their product. But as is often the case with engineering dominated culture - very monoculture and wary of thinking too creatively.

      Cons

      Management desperate to get new blood as workforce aging quickly. Could mean better promotion potential. Contracts subject - as all defense companies are - to financial whims of customer (Navy) and congress.

      It's a well run company that focuses on producing a high quality product for a demanding and important customer, and on maximizing return on invested capital. A no-BS atmosphere.

      Cons

      Not much overhead spent on being a 'touchy-feely' workplace - but, engineers know how to focus on what matters.
