Pros
The opportunity to work on multiple projects at many different levels - entry level to experienced -- and different functions from system design to implementation and test. Implementation of the 9/80 work schedule provided time to participate in external obligations/appointments during the work week without using paid time off. Compensation was above average for the location and on par for the industry. Good place to work if you are inexperienced.
Cons
Company started out good but now is in a race to the bottom with respect to lowering the rate and benefits. The pursuit of lower price contracts have resulted in "wins" in which experienced employees were not able to work on the contracts due to cost. This has resulted in lower quality work and increasing customer dissatisfaction. Benefits were reasonable in the past but have grown progressively worse in recent years. The benefit package favors shorter term employees and provides practically no additional benefits past 5 years of employment. Lack of internal upward mobility and external local employment opportunities will most likely require relocation after approximately 3-5 years of employment.
