Great salary and benefits with a laid back culture, but not a software oriented culture.
Pros
Very good salary and benefits. The culture is laid back and everyone is friendly here. I have worked in other companies that stress schedule and overtime to the exclusion of family life. This company is not one of them - at least not what I have seen so far. The vast majority of the people I work with work 40 hour work weeks and are not "nose to the grindstone." My management - even the vice president - is actively involved on my program and very cordial with me. My co-workers are very team oriented and work together to solve very difficult issues.
Cons
Not very software oriented since it is an engineering firm. Despite the team oriented atmosphere, I often feel like I am working in a vacuum with few people that understand the difficult problems to solve.
