      Good place to work but definitely needs improvement.

      Pros

      Competitive salaries with decent benefits including fully paid tuition reimbursement. Software development is new to General Dynamics C4 Systems with plenty of room for advancement for those that are high performers. The work is fairly laid back with some programs working on a 9/80 (every other Friday off) schedule.

      Cons

      Very bureaucratic management with little software management experience. The company is more of a systems integrator than a software development house.

      Pros

      I have enjoyed being involved in some of the most interesting technologies. I have managed to learn a lot, grow, and expand my network and knowledge in the company through the different projects I have been involved in.

      Cons

      Engineers are often overworked on projects and when it comes time to reward and compensation it seems that they get overlooked. Management seems to be a little disconnected from the engineers. They need to look to the team when making decisions more.

      No Training, The Pitts, Good Initial Pay.

      The Initial Pay was good for entry level work.

      Cons

      All roads lead to Pittsfield, MA, & Pittsfield, MA is just that -- the pits. Think of Boston, invert it, and you get close to the idea. Constant travel was a bum too. Little to no recognition for Job Well Done; fubars are well advertised. Management doesn't listen; "our survey says employees love less benefits, so here are the latest benefit cuts!". There's also no training. Bad.
