      Pros

      no day seems to be the same and I really enjoyed all the different locations I was able to travel to. My co-workers were great and we all enjoyed our time working together. I enjoyed being outside even during the nasty weather - you just need to dress right.

      Cons

      with little senority you will be on an extra board for a while, subject to being on-call and working nights/weekends, etc.

      Kyle RR is a good company but you won’t have a life in the transportation department

      Pros

      Great benefits, awesome pay, extensive training program, can be an easy line of work once you get the basics down.

      Cons

      On the Kyle, if you work as a Conductor or Engineer you won’t have much of a personal life. You get two days off guaranteed a week but besides that you’ll be on call. You only have a rough idea of when you may get called but it can and will change often or you may not even be called in at all. You usually won’t know how long you’ll be working, what time you’ll be off, or what you’ll be doing that day until you get into work and get started.
