Could be good, if management change and got rid of good ole boys and got a HR department.

Cons

Management has no respect. Wants to screw union as much as possible. Puts team leads in the middle. Tough working, very stressful!!! Work life balances is the worst I've seen.

A lot of free time... but a lot away from home...

Solid work, great pay and benefits, pay for ALL travel expenses and a very large company with many different operations. 401k match and profit Sharing. Marine/offshore transportation, trucking transportation, rail ways, refinery and pipe lines. 4 weeks on/off gives you lot of free time to do what you want.

Cons

You will miss lots of holidays and events due to the nature of the rotation schedule which was 3on/3off and became 4on/4 off which is a LONG time to be on board ANY vessel.
