      Pros

      Everyone is super smart and willing to help each other out like a team. Company believes in work life balance. There are tons of opportunities for career advancement. Some of the amenities include brand new fitness facility with lockers and showers. Free sodas, fruits, coffees, noodles, play station, ping pong table, pool table, pack-man video game, ability to WFH, 24hr FREE Parking in secured Parking garage. Genesys is global and growing rapidly. I love coming to work every single day and giving the best of my aptitude and abilities.

      Cons

      There might be a downside considering the fact that every organization has a downside but if it was a major i would have noticed it. So far, I haven't noticed any downside for working at Genesys.

      Pros

      Some good people, flexible work environment, ability to work from home.

      Cons

      R&D is archaic. Extremely untrusting and silo-ed environment. No trust, communication, or collaboration between any groups in R&D. Language diversity is good. Being left out because you don't speak a different language is bad. Unfortunately the latter is the standard. If you weren't an original Alcatel Lucent employee you are an outsider and always will be. Engineers who have been there 7+ years are not "trusted"

      Good growing company, sometimes difficult to get things done

      Pros

      Growing company with great vision. Strong EMEA leadership. Well positioned at the top end of the market with sophisticated solutions.

      Cons

      Highly matrix-ed structure sometimes makes it difficult to get things done. Must ask lots of people or go really high up to get someone to say yes. HQ in Frimley very nice facility, but remote. Sometimes not focused on the customer enough.

I agree with you that sometimes a matrixed structure has its challenges; we have been working hard on improving this with various internal initiatives and I believe we've gotten a lot more streamlined and aligned.
