Corporate have too many cooks in the kitchen, from AVP, ADOO,ADOE, ADCO's , DOO's. RVBD's and several others that say patients are 1st but their actions demonstrate differently. They are so busy having conference calls and many of them (upper management) are far removed from field case management and wouldn't be able to function a single day in the shoes of a field nurse, HHA, SW or chaplain. You work all day and on call all night. Corporate people sneaky, 2 faced , will throw you under the bus and look for scape goats when they fall short and will fire you when they get busted by the state. They do not build morale and point out every thing that's wrong and rarely compliment on anything going well or when they see improvements. They have people that tear apart your charts after every visit and have you double charting which puts you at risk for unintentional inconsistencies in your documentation. Orientation is mostly self teaching and you are told to read your manual or go into their system which is grossly vast to find links to information you need instead of learning from or being taught by an on site educator. I never met any educator but was told they existed somewhere. They put it on other nurses and managers in the office to try to teach when they have the same managers swamped and stressed to keep up with their own tasks. Every year they go in and close branches at their leisure. So you can be out of a job at the drop of a hat. They are now trying to change their business name because they have a bad reputation.
