Pros

Being given the opportunity to work for GSI has changed the trajectory of my career and life in the best way possible. There is so much room for growth if you put in the work. They have a great development plan which leads to tons of promotions across all departments each year. HR also does a great job of prepping team leads and managers with various training opportunities throughout the year, specifically with a leadership lab each month. There are also great benefits including the company culture- with lots of employee engagement activities such as movie nights, picnics, holiday parties, game nights and community service opportunities with the ability to always share your ideas for more. My direct boss is understanding, encouraging, and the best mentor I could ask for. I’ve always felt supported here & never micromanaged. I love getting to tell others that I work for Geographic Solutions.

Cons

Negativity surrounding working in office, which is only twice a week for most teams and the rest is remote. Just goes to show that people will find anything to complain about. I personally love the hybrid balance and ability to work half in office and half remote.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While we're glad you've found value in the flexibility to work remotely, we strongly disagree with the characterization that we "abuse" and take advantage of our employees. We hold ourselves to high standards when it comes to employee treatment and work-life balance and strive to create a supportive environment where all employees feel respected and appreciated for their contributions, so are sorry to hear that you feel under valued. Feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we can improve and better support our people and is always welcomed.

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding occasional overtime, we understand that it can be a challenge for some, however there are times when working extra hours becomes necessary to meet tight deadlines for high-priority projects. Especially due to the nature of our work, people rely on our systems to help them get back to work and we must deliver, which sometimes requires a little extra push. We continually look for ways to help our employees find a healthy work-life balance and minimize these situations as much as possible. We greatly appreciate the dedication and willingness of our employees to go the extra mile and it does not go unnoticed. Thanks again for your feedback and your contributions to our sucess!
