Pros

100% Employer Paid benefits for Employee. casual dress code, free drinks, more room than before, basically an average company to work for.

Cons

Long hours without notice, micromanaging management, out of date development tools, they seem to have a hard time moving forward, benefits plan is average, not all they hype it up t be. Pay would be good (not great) to work there if you didn't have to work so long. There's also a lot of turnover, whether people being let go or people leaving. No room for advancement, very flat management structure.

Not Worth It

Pros

I like that GS is not laying people off because people are always quitting and the company is always selling there is always work here. You can count on that.

Cons

The company brass talks a good game but can't deliver. For some reason there is an arrogance and stubbornness that keeps good things from happening. The people who are in a position to help seem cut off at the knees. For as big a small company as it is, everything is makeshift - if you've ever seen The Little Rascals put on a play, that's equal to how this company operates. It just can't get to a professional level on things.

Sinking Ship

Pros

Good location in north Pinellas county and close to many things in case you have to do errands at lunch time.

Cons

Very frustrating and disappointing to be a developer here. You mostly work on bugs and there is a constant flow of them. Some people work on new development, but they get pulled off to work on bugs most of the time. There is a strong sense of mistrust at all levels of the company. It is well known that your Outlook mail and messaging are monitored by the HR guy and several people have been "busted" for writing non-business content. They keep selling their product but don't have a method for dealing with the demand. There have been some good people on board but they can't excel because the company president has to have things his way and that's pretty much what messes everything up. So, all the best people have left like rats on a sinking ship. I am looking for a new position and most of the other developers are looking as well. Not sure about other departments but I imagine they are in the same boat as us developers since they are run by the same man. They have been trying to hire people like crazy for many months now but cannot get people to join, so that leads to more pressure on those of us still here.
