      Pros

      Flexibility. Interesting work. Teachers are generally able to do their jobs without close oversight. Thoughtful colleagues. Academic life provides ample vacation time.

      Cons

      Poor students. Some classrooms lack necessary technology. I taught business. For many students that was the default major. They really did not know what they wanted to do.

      Pros

      As a state employee, there's relatively good job security.

      Cons

      Very little hope of moving moving up the ladder unless you're a part of the good old boys network. Lots of employee abuse by the upper echelons of management...including illegal actions that have been ignored by Human relations department.

      Pros

      George Mason University University Life division has no pros in any field. Im just writing this to get the 20 word minimum, but really don't waste your time here.

      Cons

      They let go one of the Associate Directors of Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Multicultural Education. And now 70 % of the staff quit because of University Life's management. They micromanage every employee
