      University great work-life policies, but beware working for faculty

      Pros

      Strong support for telecommuting. Great medical benefits. Relaxed dress code. Defined benefit plan for current employees.

      Cons

      Faculty simply do not know how to supervise or manage highly skilled professionals. They are treated as nothing more than support staff. There is no 360-degree review so there is no way that faculty are held accountable for poor management skills.
