Pros

There's some really smart, good people at GetInsured who really care about doing the right thing. Catered lunch 2x a week was usually really good. Health benefits we're greatly improved for 2015 to be competitive with the market. This was a big improvement. The HR team worked hard to create a positive culture, but actions of the C-suite speak louder than all their efforts combined.

Cons

Some of the C-Suite leaders are very sharp and savvy. The CEO lacks vision and struggles to articulate a direction for the company. As a result, things change a lot and the employees get hammered. Hours are long and arduous, while recognition is slim. A pretty good incentive bonus plan was put into place at the end of the year for folks who hard to work extra hard to meet goals. Unfortunately, the payouts were laughable and not what was expected by employees based on the program guidelines. The CEO also does not create a culture of accountability because he doesn't hold his team accountable.

Pros

You have the luxury of Working from home

Cons

If you’re not a robot you wont fit in here, it’s like everyone is brainwashed. One 30min lunch break and two 15 min breaks is insane. You’re chained to a computer all day the least they can offer is a 1 hour lunch break. The job itself was fine.. its the robotic work culture, getting bad scores for not saying “I’ll be happy to assist you with that”.. even though you just sat on the phone with a consumer for 2 hours helping them and they express how helpful you were.. because you didn’t say that one phrase you need a coaching.. it’s controlling and sick. Your employees are no robot they are real people and should be aloud to speak you people in a professional, friendly manner with needing to use a script word for word.. I feel so bad for people stuck at this job because I know their mental is not well.
