Pros

Working from home. Helping people get insurance policies. They helped me get my insurance license. Which was great. Met some great coworkers.

Cons

Not a very good fit for me. The recruiter was great but the supervisor was very unkind and though they said they would give us feedback so we could improve, we didn’t get any. Just was told they didn’t need me.

Many agent positions are hired as seasonal since the health insurance market has a clearly defined open enrollment period. We're happy to hear you're pleased to have obtained your license with us; a great perk indeed. We are sorry to hear you didn't receive the level of communication you expected from your manager and we will certainly take that and discuss internally. All the best in your future endeavors.

Thanks for recognizing some of the great things about working at GetInsured! As far as the workspace, we have an open office format, which is common and encourages team collaboration. There are many conference rooms to have private meetings or if you just need a space for yourself for a period of time. We have additional common areas both indoors and outdoors for team meetings and brainstorms.

Pros

Benefits were good - they give you lunch a couple times a week

Cons

Constant firing people - never knew if you would have a job. Hired 65 people telling them it was a permanent job and then couple months in started letting people go - got to under 20. Leads are from Medicare people looking for free dental plans and you have to try and switch them to a Medicare advantage - bait and switch - leads seem to come from very poor uneducated areas Management talks a good game - but they work you to death and then kick you out the door! A lot of really good hardworking people got let go and people who work the system stayed.

GetInsured expanded into the seasonal Medicare market last year. With this expansion, we brought on new agents to help eligible consumers find Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans. While marketing messages vary, our agents are trained to look at the consumer’s situation and advise them on which plans works best. These agent positions are sales positions with performance and metrics tied to them, like any sales position. While many agents were hired into full-time positions, performance didn’t always match expectations, seasonal demand dropped off, and the staff was managed accordingly. We appreciate your candor and wish you all the best in finding your next role.
