Pros

Very understandable, promote from the inside, bonus pays

Cons

Not many cons… could be paid a little more but that’s not really a problem.

Cons

The cons are awful. I started on 7/10 with about 40 people in our training team, and by 9/25, we have just under half of the 40 people I started with. During our training, the trainers that trained us were training us on different systems from the one we were going to be working on. Different scripts, and completely different systems so by the time training happened, most of us were confused about using our actual work system. When the 2 weeks of training were over, we lost about 10 people. Management really doesn't care about you and they don't ever want to take calls when requested. A typical micromanaged call center and QA metrics are unrealistic, they use you like meat, beefing you up for Open Enrollment. You only get 2 minutes to document a call which is unrealistic considering the QA metrics. You can't change your status to notate, you'll be thrown back into the queues, which leads you to be backed up. Our first day on the job outside of training was pitiful. The Call center supervisor tells the entire 30+ ppl of new hires to get on calls because the call center has a high turnover, and the original CSR's group is only about 20 ppl and they all share the same tasks. Management is extremely annoyed when you ask questions. No one wants to violate HIPPA when verifying customers. Pay is abysmal if you have kids, you'll barely be able to afford food, and rent is out of the question. The pay is $14.50??? You only get OT during the 3 months of Open Enrollment, so for the other 9 months you barely touch $1200. Also, they hire anybody because they need bodies, and the turnover rate is extremely high.
