Pros

Benefits were good - they give you lunch a couple times a week

Cons

Constant firing people - never knew if you would have a job. Hired 65 people telling them it was a permanent job and then couple months in started letting people go - got to under 20. Leads are from Medicare people looking for free dental plans and you have to try and switch them to a Medicare advantage - bait and switch - leads seem to come from very poor uneducated areas Management talks a good game - but they work you to death and then kick you out the door! A lot of really good hardworking people got let go and people who work the system stayed.

GetInsured expanded into the seasonal Medicare market last year. With this expansion, we brought on new agents to help eligible consumers find Medicare Advantage and Supplement plans. While marketing messages vary, our agents are trained to look at the consumer’s situation and advise them on which plans works best. These agent positions are sales positions with performance and metrics tied to them, like any sales position. While many agents were hired into full-time positions, performance didn’t always match expectations, seasonal demand dropped off, and the staff was managed accordingly. We appreciate your candor and wish you all the best in finding your next role.

Pros

The pay is decent and I have very little supervision.

Cons

I think the message is in the numbers. Less than 50% of employees approve of the CEO, less than 25% would recommend working here to a friend. It's actually hard to find numbers that low on linkedin. I'd suggest to all candidate to simply inquire about the rate of turnover, but don't expect an honest answer. This is a company headed by a CEO who has no problem encouraging lying to get what he wants.

Let’s start at the beginning. We’re glad to hear that you feel you’re being well-compensated. That’s a big positive unto itself. For the most part, managers at GetInsured do not believe in micromanaging. Employees at the company are trusted to get their work done on time and with a certain level of quality. We think that says a lot about the capable people we hire — that they don’t need to be watched over. Turnover is natural in our industry — especially now. With the new administration in power and the recent floundering of the American Health Care Act, there are a lot of open questions as to what the future holds in regards to health insurance in this country. However, most of the team at GetInsured view this as a tremendous opportunity to be at the forefront of this evolving market and continue to help individuals, companies, states and insurers navigate the new waters. We are constantly thinking of new ways to respond to the market and innovating enrollment platforms — and we think that’s pretty exciting. As a company, we’ve also made significant investments to keep GetInsured competitive on a benefits level. Ranging from the small perks like free lunch, snacks, and beverages, to the larger benefits such as medical and dental coverage, 401k matching and education reimbursements. We believe in making investments in people and work hard to keep the company’s talent happy. We do thank you for your feedback. It has been shared internally.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We're so happy to hear you had a positive experience with us. As we've said before, our people are what makes us who we are and we value all of our employees. And yes, we are in quite the ever-changing market, aren't we? But at the end of the day, we get to help millions of Americans enroll in health insurance plans no matter the political climate, and that's a pretty special thing.
