Pros

Being a camp counselor for the Girl Scouts was a life changing opportunity. I made long lasting friendships and positive impacts on many girls' lives. Do it!

Cons

If being outdoors isn't your thing, think twice about camp counseling. You will have to get campers excited about things even when it's 100 degrees and you're covered in bug bites.

Pros

The people we work with are awesome and the girls that we work for are even better. Great leadership, a level of respect that I have never seen anywhere else, and fabulous work/life balance opportunities including great hours and vacation.

Cons

No retirement plan, pay below industry average in my field - but not deal breaking low, and uncomfortable work space (cubicles are not ideal for people who do a lot of phone work).
