New leadership has been really challenging. Micromanagement abounds. Upheaval in the C-suite has brought little focus on the things that made GitLab great in the first place. Management explicitly praising toxic overworking and changing priorities constantly. A stock price that stays flat or goes down no matter how much the revenue increases. Things were far better a year ago.

Many leaders haven't done the function they lead and focus entirely on managing up; large and growing divide between VP+ layer and rest of company. No longer a meritocracy, hard to get promoted if you're not friends with your VP and forget it if you push back (its become an open secret that some people are `favorites`). Sales team is very heavy on "Strategists" vs actual sellers or GTM professionals (think consultants vs actual operators). 0 oversight on managers, no 360 review program, disconnected HR is focused on managing out vs growing talent.
