Pros

- Good compensation compared to competitors - Async mode of work - Transparent - Family and Friends day

Cons

- Very slow at personal growth. One might stick to their role for years - Work done through it the year vs appraisal does not match. High expectations. - Work-life balance may not work equally for everyone at Gitlab.

Pros

- You can easily float if that is what you want - Define your own focus areas - Work and learn things that are of your personal interest (within some boundaries)

Cons

- No growth opportunities, there is simply no concept for career progression - Lack of vision across leadership - Lack of a technical long-term strategy and consensus driven development - Driven by sales and product (and therefore politics)

Pros

- Fully remote and distributed (if you love remote working this company is for you) - Capacity to learn and grow - Super Colleagues (literally everyone I've worked with has been friendly, helpful and warm) - The product will become bigger; if you want to be part of something that will change the way the world works, it’s a great time to join. - Great equipment was given to work on.

Cons

- So many meetings (You are not required to attend all of them as they are recorded. But you still feel like your missing out if you need miss any) - PeopleOps need more help - A-sync work is not for everyone - Everyone is busy so getting reviews/feedback can be at times frustrating
