Pros

- A company that actually practices the good values it promotes. - Puts great emphasis on the welfare of its employees. - Great work life balance. - Awesome benefits, above the median.

Cons

- Not sure if this is really a con, but you have to make an effort in making connections with the global team members. That means you have to set some small amount of time to just chat with your other team mates from other regions.

Thank you for your review. It is our goal to create an environment where our team members feel valued and we’re delighted to hear that this is the experience you’ve had working here. We appreciate the challenges of informal communication in an all-remote environment and have thoughtfully developed a few suggestions in our Handbook that may help resolve some of these! Check them out here: https://about.gitlab.com/company/culture/all-remote/informal-communication/

Pros

I've been at GitLab for 2 months and their onboarding process is really great. Their handbook is amazing (and updating outdated bits during onboarding was simple too). Even though it's 100% remote I feel connected with my team mates and with people from other departments.

Cons

It's hard to have face-to-face catch up with team members due to timezones

Pros

Great Software, great leaders, amazing opportunity ahead. Everybody is kind, positive, wants to help, contribute, collaborate. Remote culture/asynchronous work and inclusion/diversity are core values, proven every day. And it helps balance pro/personal lives. Transparency (check gitlab.com!).

Cons

Difficult to create opportunities to meet in the flesh but that is more due to Covid than anything else
