Pros

-I enjoy the people I work with -They have good benefits and PTO

Cons

-Product is so terrible. They haven't created anything new with Glassdoor's product and expect the Go To Market teams to work day in and out selling this to customers. There are constant bugs and issues with nothing getting resolved. -There is ZERO career growth at this point. I don't know what happened but this is not how Glassdoor used to be. Forget ever getting a promotion or raise and it would end up being a 3% raise anyways. -Leadership and CEO are so absent. Haven't helped contribute to how employees feel or actually take our feedback seriously for over 2 years now. Glassdoor PLEASE do better for your employees. This is really unfortunate to see how it's trending downwards.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear about the challenges you’re facing and appreciate your honesty. I’m glad to hear that you enjoy working with your colleagues and appreciate our benefits and PTO. It’s important to us that these aspects of your experience are positive, while we recognize that other areas are falling short. You’ve raised some important concerns about our product and career growth opportunities. I hear you, we know that our product has faced issues and bugs, and I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when it impacts your ability to do your job effectively. I can assure you many teams are focused on this as a core priority. Regarding career development, I’m proud of the robust system in place designed to support and promote our team members. On average, about 10% of our team is promoted in each review cycle. However, I understand that you may not have seen the growth you were hoping for. We want to ensure that everyone has a clear path for advancement and feels supported in their career goals. I heard your feedback on leadership. It’s clear that there’s room for improvement in how we engage with our employees and address their concerns. We value your contributions and are dedicated to creating a better experience for you and the rest of our team. Thank you again for your feedback. It’s essential for our growth and improvement, and I hope we can work together to address these challenges and move forward positively. Best, Kristin Brandon, Director of Customer Success

Pros

Compensation is fair, and the people I work with are skilled, supportive, & collaborative.

Cons

Management is pulled into too many different directions where I'm often wondering what exactly are they managing for our team aside from a weekly team meeting. Burnout is always present and has been expressed continuously each quarter, but there hasn't been any meaningful changes from upper-leadership.

Hi there - thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm pleased to hear that you find our compensation fair and that you appreciate the skills, support, and collaboration of your colleagues. However, I am truly sorry to learn about your concerns regarding management and the presence of burnout within your team. I agree with you that the primary responsibility of a manager should be managing and supporting their direct team; however, I also recognize that many of our managers are also asked to help lead, consult and/or advise on various OKRs and initiatives that might leave you wondering what makes up their day. I know you mentioned that you don’t feel your manager is engaged, and if you don’t feel as though you can approach them with your concerns, I would encourage you to reach out to your Director. - Kristin Brandon, Director of Customer Success

Pros

Culture is good and the people are fun, honest, and transparent. Benefits are great!

Cons

Leadership makes extremely questionable decisions with tight deadlines. For example, the data team had ~5 critical technology stack migrations all taking place at the same time amongst normal development work for business use-cases. Layoffs. Probably one of the most unorganized companies (planning-wise) I've had the chance to work for, but that is likely team-dependent.

Thank you for sharing your experience working at Glassdoor. Transparent reviews are critical for job seekers, so I appreciate your honest reflection. I am glad to hear that you appreciate our positive company culture and benefits, but I also understand the recent layoffs and tight deadlines have been challenging for our employees. It’s important to me that we prioritize the well-being of our people, and we will work to address the issues you’ve raised to ensure all teams at Glassdoor have the resources needed to meet their goals without feeling overwhelmed. We value your input, so thanks again for taking the time to share this feedback. -Christian Sutherland-Wong, CEO
