      Well paid. Employees have enough freedom, but a little bit unorganized

      Pros

      The company provides very competitive salary. And employees are encouraged to speak out without lots of pressure. The working hours are flexible.

      Cons

      Sort of unorganized. There seemed to be no well-documented training material for new employees. The IT infrastructure seems to be still under development.

      Great Potential, Need to Execute, More Consistent Management

      Pros

      good people who are very smart & who want to do the right things, nice new bldg in Santa Clara, believe that new management will set company on the right track, investors have deep pockets & have been willing to spend

      Cons

      Management has been schizophrenic. Didn't manage start of company well, as it's hard to change a fab from a single-source to a multi-customer facility. Also, merger of Chartered into GLOBALFOUNDRIES wasn't handled well. At some point, investors MAY want a return on their money! Management turnover: 3 CEOs and 3 CFOs in my 3 years here - need some consistency in leadership. Too many VPs and above - trim down the C-Suite.

      Exciting high tech engineering work

      Pros

      Work at enabling future technology in collaboration with partners. Excellent work life balance. Pay was good, title was easy to get

      Cons

      Too many people were not committed to their jobs. Did not like working with people who did not deserve their job title. Location was not easy to get to.
