Awful company to work for

Pros

Flexibility and autonomy - as long as you are assigned to a client project and performing to expectations, no one will say much to you.

Cons

There is zero appreciation for US employees. We "cost too much" to constantly stay billable, and if we are not 100% billable for more than 2 months we are let go. So one is constantly having to hustle to find oneself a role. Imagine being employed full time but still needing to secure your job every day, wondering month to month if you will have health insurance in 2 months - it's terrible. There is no transparency from the "People" team (HR) or senior management about these policies, which are always changing, including promotions, raises or career growth. There is NO path to career growth here. There is also zero company culture, though they do all the requisite virtue signaling about being "kind" and "inclusive." It's BS. Everyone I know in NA region hates it and is just staying because there's nothing better out there.

Pros

The work culture is supportive, the benefits are amazing, and the people are great to work with.

Cons

The biggest issue I see with working with Globant is there is no career path for US Talent. On top of that it seems more and more evident that the way the market is shifting there are fewer and fewer Opportunities For Us Talent which will eventually lead to the elimination of having any Us Talent

-work for global top clients -remote work -flexible vacations -partial internet bill refund

Cons

-low wages -salary indexed to dollars (but not in dollars) -no increases due to inflation -impractical benefits -possibility of receiving salary abroad (in dollars) but at risk of the employee -you have to fight to avoid work overload -lack of tools and resources

Hi! Sorry you don't feel the benefits are working for you. Local regulations limit us in paying directly in dollars in Argentina, but we are doing our best to provide the best value to our employees within the local laws.
